Introducing GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids – two new dedicated service types for families with young children (4-7 years old), available from 10 January onwards.
What you’ll need
If you have a driver rating of at least 4.6 and have a child restraint from one of the Gojek-approved brands, all you’ll need to do is complete an online training & verification form to be eligible to complete trips on the new GoCar Kids services.

How to be eligible for GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids trips
To be eligible for GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids trips, driver-partners must:
Once you have completed all the above, you will receive a notification that you have been successfully onboarded as a GoCar Kids or GoCar XL Kids driver-partner.
Please ensure that you have updated your GoPartner app to the latest version and have enabled the GoCar Kids toggle to be allocated trips.
How to accept GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids trips
Only eligible driver-partners who have switched on the toggle for GoCar Kids and/or GoCar XL Kids will be allocated these trips.
This will happen from 10 January 2023 onwards.
How does GoCar Kids differ from GoCar trips?
Accepting a GoCar Kids booking
To differentiate the GoCar Kids trip from a regular GoCar trip, look out for this logo:
The process of accepting and completing a GoCar Kids trip is the same as a GoCar or GoCar XL trip.
You will also see “GoCar Kids” reflected in your Transaction history.
GoCar Kids fees and incentives
Service and Platform Fees
There will be no difference in service and platform fees. GoCar Kids trips will be subject to the same fees as GoCar: tiered platform fee and 10% service fee.
Additional Fees
GoCar Kids trips will be eligible for the same additional fees as GoCar trips:
Important: Please note that driver-partners will not be allowed to accept trips where more than one child requiring a child restraint is present. Driver-partners should not charge any additional fees for GoCar Kids or GoCar XL Kids trips at the end of the trip.
Incentives
All GoCar Kids trips will qualify for the same incentives as GoCar trips, so every trip brings you closer to bigger earnings!
💰 $4 for far pick-ups
GoCar Kids trips will also be eligible for the $4 flat fee for far pick-ups above 4km, if autobid is enabled.
💰 Daily points incentives (full day)
All driver-partners get to earn points throughout the day based on the distance (km) of each trip as calculated in the GoPartner app, and have the flexibility to choose trips to complete based on your preference.
💰 Monthly Loyalty Rewards
GoCar Premium trips will count towards the minimum monthly trips required for the monthly loyalty rewards to potentially hit 0% service fees!

Q: What’s the difference between GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids?
A: GoCar Kids is for 4-seater cars, and caters for 1 child (4 - 7 years) + 3 adults. GoCar XL Kids is for 6-seater cars that are already eligible for GoCar XL trips, and can cater for 1 child (4 - 7 years) + 5 adults.
Q: What happens if I’m eligible for GoCar Kids trips, but my driver rating falls below 4.6?
A: You will not be able to see the GoCar Kids toggle option if your rating falls below 4.6.
Q: Can I opt-out of accepting GoCar Kids trips after completing the online training and verification?
A: Yes, you can choose your preferred service type at any time with the toggles feature.
Q: Will GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids trips be counted in the monthly trips requirement for the monthly loyalty rewards?
A: Yes, GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids trips will be included in the calculation for the monthly loyalty rewards.
Q: What are the Gojek approved brands for child restraints?

The following brands have been approved by Gojek:
If you do not have a child restraint from one of these approved brands, you will need to submit proof that the child restraint meets one or more of the following standards approved by the Traffic Police:
i. the American Standard FMVSS 213;
ii. the British Standards B.S. 3254: Part 2: 1988, B.S. AU 202a: 1988, or B.S. AU 185: 1983;
iii. the Australian Standard AS 1754-1975 (including AS 1754.1-1989 Part 1, AS 1754.2-1989 Part 2 and AS 1754.4-1989 Part 4);
iv. the European Standard ECE R44;
v. the Japanese Standard JIS D0401-1990
Q: Do I still need to add any additional charges specifically for GoCar Kids or GoCar XL Kids trips?
A: No. Please do NOT add additional charges at the end of the trip as the usage of the booster seat ($2) is already included in the fare.
Q: If the customer has his/her own child restraint, do I need to add any charges?
A: No. Please do NOT add additional charges if a customer uses his/her own booster seat.
Q: If the customer books the wrong service type but has a child aged 4-7 years, should I continue with the trip?
A: If your customer books the wrong service type (e.g GoCar) and neither of you have a booster seat, please do NOT carry on with the order. Instead, please ask your customer to book another trip on GoCar Kids (4-7 years) and GoCar XL Kids (4-7 years).
Q: What happens if a customer has 2 children (4 - 7) years old? Can I charge an extra amount for the 2nd child?
A: Please note that driver-partners will not be allowed to accept trips where more than one child requiring a child restraint is present. Driver-partners should not charge any additional fees for GoCar Kids or GoCar XL Kids trips at the end of the trip.
