Gojek recommends: dining spots that feel like home
23 Jul 2024

Restos are aplenty in Singapore. Unique eateries with great grub and an ambience that make you feel at home? Not so much. We’ve put a bunch of super cozy, comfy unique dining spots that will make you feel like you’re dining in someone’s backyard. Gojek there!

Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis@2x.png

Gourmet Park Kampong Bugis

Where: 66 Kampong Bugis

It’s an alfresco dining spot nestled in a quieter part of the city, with a cozy, lush garden setting complete with cooling stone furnishings and patio furniture. It’s got space for your furkids. And it’s got good food from  5 established concepts to boot: Carnaby, The Goodburger, Quattro, Meatsmith, and Backyard Bakers. Can’t decide on one resto? Try ‘em all (we recommend the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and Carbonara). Now all you need is an Aperol Spritz to round up your Italian Summer fantasy.

The Sunday Brunch@2x.png

The Sunday Brunch

Where: Fernvale, Sengkang (DM for address)

Not a backyard, but a front yard. The Sunday Brunch, a home cafe based in Fernvale, serves up a different brunch menu each time on their porch. Previous iterations include bagels, Taiwanese street food, and pastries too. Follow them here to book your brunch date – and do it quick, ‘cuz the slots fill up fast).

The Long Weekend Pizza@2x.png

The Long Weekend Pizza

Where: 61 St. Patrick's Road

Operating out of an outdoor kitchen in East Coast, home-based pizzeria The Long Weekend Pizza cooks up classic thin-crust pizzas like Margherita, Hawaiian, and Pepperoni in their wood-fired oven. Call in advance to place an order and they’ll let you know when your pies are ready for pick-up. They’ve also got two tables on their porch so you can enjoy your slice(s) extra fresh.

Ground Floor Coffee@2x.png

Ground Floor Coffee

Where: 214 Pasir Ris Street 21

Over in Pasir Ris, you can pick up coffee from a window. True to its name, Ground Floor Coffee is exactly what it is: coffee from a ground-floor HDB unit. They’ve got a wide selection of drinks, from espresso-based ones like Vanilla Latte to coffee-less milk-based drinks like the Melbourne Sticky Chai. Just remember to pre-order here before you pick up.

Chū and Co@2x.png

Chū and Co

Where: 15 Lichfield Rd

Along a quiet lane in Serangoon Gardens is Chū and Co, a café known for its sourdough bread, pastries, and gelato. Order your fav brunch items and spend the day under their makeshift verandah, where you can set up your picnic mats and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. It’s like your own little backyard oasis: perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
