The Food Bank Singapore: Juniors Club
The Food Bank takes excess food (safe for consumption of course) and redistributes them to communities facing food insecurity. Kids aged 5–12 can try their hand at different volunteer roles, like sorting and packing inventory, distributing food bundles, and even visiting local farms and factories to witness food production. Volunteering programs take place during the school holidays, so follow The Food Bank on social media for updates on their next program.

Give back to the migrant worker community in Singapore with your kid. Donate preloved (or new!) household appliances, help out with care pack distributions, or even sponsor lunch. Older kids can even intern with IRR through their dedicated youth wing NextGen and design projects that’ll benefit migrant workers directly.

Be a Trash Hero. It’s exactly what the name suggests. See trash? Pick it up, clean it, or dispose of it properly. Learn the immediate (and very real) harmful impacts of single-use plastics on the environment and cultivate in your child a habit of cleaning up after themselves. Keep up with Trash Hero Singapore on social media for updates on their next clean-up!
