A 2025 recap + things we’re looking forward to in 2026
A 2025 recap + things we’re looking forward to in 2026
29 Dec 2025

What’s better than a banging year of exploring the city? A whole new year to do it again! So here we are, reminiscing our faves from 2025 – from warm cuppas that soothe the soul to book nooks right in the city, we look back at our top spaces of the year, and cover all the potential not-so-hidden gems we’re looking forward to in 2026.

Psst: as always, we’re here to get you around Singapore – any year, any time.

2025 faves
1.Slow bakes@2x.png
Slow Bakes
Where: 30A Yishun Central 1

Yes to slow livin’ in our countryside… or in Yishun. This café makes it so easy to space out with a calming garden view, sourdough toast with a spread of spreads (ha!), and coffee to die for. Slow Bakes was a top hang-out spot for the Gojek team all year – and we’re sure it’ll remain a fave well into the new year.

2.Haw Par Villa@2x.png
Haw Par Villa
Where: 262 Pasir Panjang Road

Giant gorillas… a Statue of Liberty… all ten courts of Hell… where else can you see them all in one place but Haw Par Villa? This is an old one, but the sculpture park remains an iconic destination in Singapore with its old-world charm – we even spent Halloween there in 2025.

3.kinokuniya @2x.png
Books Kinokuniya Raffles City
Where: Raffles City Shopping Centre

Good luck getting past all the adorable merch you could want – as if you could say “no” to the adorable faces of Miffy and Snoopy plushies waiting for a new owner. But this Kinokuniya outlet’s cozy inner chamber is the highlight – think floor-to-ceiling shelves of books from all corners of the earth. Pro tip: take the time to unplug from your phones and browse.

4.Cafe Mary Grace@2x.png
Cafe Mary Grace
Where: TBA

After two successful pop-ups in Singapore this year, this Filipino chain is settling here for good with its first brick-and-mortar store slated to open in early 2026. If your relationship with dairy is, well, complicated, keep your lactase pills on standby: their signature pastries have cheese – and they’re worth the pain.

5.Nuldam Space SG@2x.png
Nuldam Space SG
Where: The SCAPE

We’re jumping write (pun intended) into the future at this Korean café’s first overseas outlet. Enjoy vegan treats like their signature matcha cream latte, and write a letter for yourself or someone else to read in the future – seal it all with a snazzy wax seal, all provided.

6.Lea Salonga – Stage, Screen & Everything in Between@2x.png
Lea Salonga – Stage, Screen & Everything in Between
Where: Esplanade Theatre
When: 20–22 March

You’ve heard her in films and musicals – now immerse yourself in Lea Salonga’s voice at her first live performance in Singapore in over a decade. With hits from AladdinMulan, and Miss Saigon, you’re gonna have to fight the urge to sing along!
