Singapore’s de-facto island of fun is jam-packed with things to do for virtually everyone under the sun. Visiting Universal Studios for the fam? Or planning a romantic dinner with bae at the Tanjong Beach Club? Read on: here’s our guide to navigating to/from Sentosa.
Sentosa is reachable on foot via its Boardwalk, which you can locate at VivoCity Lobby F, level 1.
Take bus 123, which terminates at various points in Sentosa.
Otherwise, take 65, 80, 93, 188, 855, 10, 30, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, or 166 to Vivocity / Merrill Lynch before switching to RWS8, which will take you all the way to Resorts World Sentosa.
Tip: Coming from the east? A shuttle bus runs between Tampines Hub to Sentosa on weekends, public holidays, and every Friday during school holidays.
The nearest MRT station to Sentosa is HarbourFront Station – which is on both the North-East and Circle Lines (those are the purple and yellow ones).
From there, you can walk to Sentosa, or take the Sentosa Express from VivoCity, Lobby L, level 3.
Drive into the island via Sentosa Gateway. Entry fees range from $2–$6 depending on the day and time of entry. If you’re bringing in your own car, you may park your vehicle at Beach Station, Imbiah Lookout, Tanjong Beach, Palawan Beach, or Sentosa Cove Village. Parking fees start from $1.20/hour.
Take the extra scenic route into Sentosa via Cable Car from Harbourfront Centre. To get there, take Exit B from Harbourfront MRT, follow the signs that will lead you to Singapore Cable Car station at Harbourfront Tower II, and you’re good to go!
Get back to the main island on foot via the Boardwalk, which you can locate near the entrance of Trick Eye Museum.
Buses 123, 188R, and 963R, as well as NightRider NR1 and NR6 serve pick-ups and drop-offs at Sentosa – most of which begin/end in Resorts World Sentosa.
Take the Sentosa Express back to VivoCity, before continuing your journey on the MRT.
The cable car back to Harbourfront or Mount Faber begins from Sentosa station, which is a stone’s throw from Imbiah Lookout.

Get to your attraction of choice on one of its three bus routes, travel to all the sun, sand, and sea on the Beach Shuttle, or hop on the Sentosa Express.
Otherwise, the cable car gets you through Merlion, Imbiah Lookout, and Siloso Point.
