We’re excited to announce the trial launch of GoCar Flash–a NEW service type for BIGGER EARNINGS and more reliable rides!

From 21 Nov (Thu), driver-partners will be able to accept GoCar Flash trips in addition to existing service types.

💡 For this trial launch, the service area for GoCar Flash will be limited to central Singapore. As we work to continually refine and optimize this service type, it will be gradually rolled out to other areas. Refer below for the full list of locations.

How to get ready

To ensure you are ready for the trial launch, please do the following:

1. Update your GoPartner app to the latest version: 1.76 (Android) or 1.33 (iOS).
2. Turn on the GoCar Flash toggle in your app to begin accepting GoCar Flash trips once the trial launches on 21 Nov (Thu).

Note:

• This service type is only available for Private Hire vehicles (PHV). Taxis are not eligible for GoCar Flash trips.
• Autobid is turned on by default for this service ONLY. This means that all GoCar Flash trips will be automatically accepted. You can still freely toggle autobid status for other services.
• During the trial period, this service will only be available for trips with pick-ups in central Singapore.

How to accept GoCar Flash trips

Only driver-partners who have turned on the toggle for GoCar Flash will be allocated these trips. GoCar Flash will be available from 21 Nov (Thu) onwards.

To differentiate a GoCar Flash trip from a regular GoCar trip, look out for this logo:

The process of completing a GoCar Flash trip is the same as a GoCar trip. You will also see ‘GoCar Flash’ reflected in your Transaction history.

Incentives and fees

Incentives
All GoCar Flash trips will be eligible for existing trip incentives–take home more earnings with every trip! More on incentives: gjk.sg/incentive 

Service and Platform fees
There will be no difference in service and platform fees from GoCar trips. GoCar Flash trips will be subject to the same tiered platform fee and 10% service fee.

Other fees
GoCar Flash trips will be eligible for the following additional fees:

• Multi-Destination fee of $4 (subject to 10% service fee)
• Edit Destination fee of $3 (subject to 10% service fee)
• Late Night Trip fee of $6 from 12AM to 5:59AM (same as GoCar Premium)
• Cancellation fee of $4 (no service fee)
• Waiting fee of up to $13 (same as GoCar Premium)–$3 for first 4 mins, $5 for every additional 5 mins (no service fee)
• You can only receive either a cancellation fee or waiting fee

FAQs

Q: What’s the difference between GoCar trips and GoCar Flash trips?
A: GoCar Flash is for PHV rides only. Driver-partners on GoCar Flash trips can enjoy fares that are at least 15% higher compared to GoCar trips.

Q: Who is eligible for GoCar Flash trips?
A: This service type is only available to Private Hire vehicles. Taxis are not eligible.

Q: Can I turn off autobid on GoCar Flash trips?
A: There will not be a toggle option for autobid on GoCar Flash. All GoCar Flash orders will be automatically accepted. This allows you to enjoy a hands-free experience while driving. You can still freely toggle autobid status for other service types.

Q: Will GoCar Flash trips be counted in the monthly trips requirement for the monthly loyalty rewards?
A: Yes, GoCar Flash trips will count towards your Monthly Loyalty Rewards.

Q: Will I receive trips for GoCar Flash if I am not in the areas of coverage listed above?
A: GoCar Flash will be available for trips with pick-ups in central Singapore at initial launch (full locations above). Please stay within the areas of coverage and turn on the GoCar Flash toggle to receive trips.
