Dear reader, 

It’s coming up, that day we celebrate all things feminist and move closer to a gender-equal world! This year, International Women’s Day turns 109 years old: a sobering age that reminds us just how long we’ve had to continue fighting the good fight. 

We’d like to shift your attention to this year’s IWD theme: #EachForEqual. The idea that our collective, everyday actions – even the smallest of them – may come together to achieve gender parity in this world.

So what’s up?

Empowerment remains at the heart of everything we do; we’ve provided – and we continue to provide – users access to products and services that keep their lives and cities moving.

To mark IWD, we thought we’d go just a bit further by celebrating it all through the month of March. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing more from women that embody this Gojek spirit of empowerment. Their collective actions shape the world we live in, as they march to the beat of their own drums and/or simply redefine what it means to be a woman.

Here’s to a future where gender identities no longer matter – but for now, here’s to women everywhere.
