From 1 Jan 2025, the Platform Worker Bill will come into force. The Bill covers three areas: (1) CPF contributions, (2) Work injury compensation (WIC), and (3) Platform work association representation. Learn more: gjk.sg/cpf
As the Work Injury Compensation Act provides a wider range of compensations for work-related accidents, it will replace Gigacover’s Essentials coverage for all driver-partners and Gigacover’s Freelancer Earnings Protection (FLEP) for Pro/Elite tier driver-partners.

How does this impact my health coverage?
All Gojek driver-partners currently receive health protection with Gigacover’s Essentials. This will cease on 31 Dec 2024, as it will be replaced with WICA from 1 Jan 2025.
This means that you can continue to enjoy the following benefits under Gigacover’s Essentials until 31 Dec 2024:
For all driver-partners, the last day to visit a clinic as part of Gigacover’s Essentials plan will be 31 Dec 2024.
How does this impact my earnings protection coverage (for Pro & Elite driver-partners)?
Pro and Elite Gojek driver-partners currently receive earnings protection via fully covered premiums for Gigacover’s Freelancer Earnings Protection (FLEP). This coverage will cease on 31 Dec 2024, as it will be replaced with WICA from 1 Jan 2025.

Important: Any FLEP claims for incidents occurring on or before 31 Dec 2024, must be submitted latest by 30 Jan 2025. For claims that extend beyond 31 Dec 2024, the daily payout will only be calculated up to 31 Dec 2024.
Rest assured that there is no change to other existing loyalty GoalBetter benefits.

What happens if I am claiming under Gigacover’s FLEP beyond 2024, into 2025?
Your daily payout under FLEP coverage will only be calculated up till 31 Dec 2024 (inclusive). For 1 Jan 2025 onwards, you will need to submit a claim via WICA. More details will be shared on how this can be done soon.
What is the latest date that I can submit my claim for 2024 if I am currently covered under FLEP?
Eligible Gojek driver-partners should submit FLEP claims as soon as possible, within 30 days of the incident. For incidents occurring on 31 Dec 2024 (last day of coverage), you will have until 30 Jan 2025 to submit a FLEP claim.
What if I want to continue buying FLEP?
There is currently no option to self-purchase Gigacover’s FLEP. Your coverage will be replaced by WICA from 1 Jan 2025.
What will happen in the lead up to 1 Jan 2025 if I am visiting a clinic under Gigacover’s Essentials in the last few days of 2024 during this transition period?
You will be able to visit a clinic with your Gigacover Essentials e-card up until 31 Dec 2024, after which your e-card will be terminated. Please contact Gigacover directly if you face any issues with the e-card before 31 Dec 2024.
Invoices for your clinic visits up until 31 Dec 2024 may be sent in Jan 2025.
What is the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA)?
Effective 1 Jan 2025, platform workers will be able to claim for medical leave wages, medical expenses, and lump-sum compensation for permanent incapacity or death.
You will be able to claim compensation if you have been injured or contracted a disease as a result of work. For example, you can make a claim under WICA if you were injured while traveling to the passenger’s pick-up or drop-off location, until you leave the location.
Relevant compensation for income loss (during medical leave and hospitalization leave) and lump sum compensation for permanent incapacity, current incapacity or death will be calculated based on your average daily earnings based on your total gross earnings from all platform operators within the platform service in which the injury was sustained, for a period of up to 90 calendar days before the date of accident.
Claims due to a work accident can be made up to 1 year from the accident, or up to a maximum limit of $45,000, whichever is earlier.

Who is eligible for WICA?
All driver-partners who transact on Gojek from 1 Jan 2025 are eligible for WICA for accident-related injuries.
How do I make a claim?
Please inform Gojek about the accident and injury as soon as possible to allow us to assist on the claims. You can report the accident via your Gojek driver app > Help center > Safety & Emergency > I was in a car accident.
Our team will reach out for further details to follow up on submitting your claims. Please prepare the related supporting documents, such as Medical Certificate/s, medical bills/receipts, and police reports where applicable.
If I get injured while working with Gojek, can I claim it under WICA and my personal insurance?
You will only be able to claim for 1 policy at a time. If you submit your accident claim through Gojek, we will submit your claim under WICA and you may submit to your other policies (if any) only after the claim exceeds the WICA limit.
What types of compensation will be provided under WICA?

Why does Gojek need to collect my personal, accident, and earnings data?
Gojek will need to collect and validate the information in order to submit an injury report (iReport) for a WIC claim in order for you to receive compensation for medical claims and earnings protection (where applicable). Please be informed that the process will be handled by Gojek, our Third Party Administrator (Jarvis Services Pte Ltd), and/or our Insurance Provider (Etiqa Insurance Pte Ltd).
