Where and when can I book GoCar Nearby?
For now, GoCar Nearby is available for pick-ups and drop-offs within East and North-east regions as highlighted below.
This includes Pasir Ris, Tampines, Changi Business Park, Bedok, Bedok Reservoir, Kaki Bukit, Siglap, Bayshore, Paya Lebar, Geylang, Machperson, Eunos, Punggol, SengKang, Hougang, Serangoon, Potong Pasir, and Lorong Chuan.
You’ll also only be able to book a GoCar Nearby between 10AM–5PM, for trips within 5km in distance.
Not to worry – the app will only show GoCar Nearby when your trip’s eligible for it.
Why is my total fare higher than $9.90 if my trip meets all the criteria above?
Other charges may still apply. This includes RideShield, Waiting, Cancellation, Edit Destination, or Multi-Destination fees, or an extra charge for child booster seat use.
Why is GoCar Nearby only available in East and North-East areas?
As part of our launch, we’re looking to see how GoCar Nearby fits into your travel plans first. Keep your eyes peeled for future expansions into other areas!
Why isn’t GoCar Nearby showing on my screen?
GoCar Nearby will only be visible if your trip meets the conditions of time (10AM–5PM), pick-up and drop-off points (East and North-East regions), and distance (<5km). Not to worry – you will still be able to book other GoCar service types.
Can I use vouchers on GoCar Nearby?
Nope – GoCar Nearby simply charges a flat rate of up to $9.90, without any use of vouchers.
Do I get yuu Points on GoCar Nearby trips? Can I use Points to offset fares too?
Yes, you can earn Points on GoCar Nearby rides as well as use collected Points to offset fares on them.
Can I change my destination?
Yes – you’ll be able to make changes to your drop-off point as long as it’s still within the East and North-East areas. The usual $3 Edit Destination fee applies, along with any additional fare changes if your trip has an increase in total distance.
I need a child seat / bigger car. Can I still use GoCar Nearby?
No. To keep things running smoothly, GoCar Nearby will just be serviced by regular GoCar vehicles. If you need a car that caters to your child, please book a GoCar Kids / GoCar XL Kids. If you need a bigger vehicle, please book a GoCar XL.
