GoCar comes with two new features and an update to ensure things run better and smoother on the Gojek platform. 

Here’s what’s new:

If you’ve found yourself having to constantly type out instructions for your driver to locate your pick-up point, we’ve got the solution for you. Now, you can save up to two custom messages under Quick chat whenever you’re talking to your driver on the app. Then, the next time you’re on a Gojek ride, all you need to do is tap on the same message to send it out.

Make sure to also wait at the right pick-up point, so your driver can find you easily.

Experienced a 5-star ride? Met a driver who went above and beyond? Sometimes the best way to say “thanks” is with a tip. Come 4 April 2023, cashless tipping will be available on Gojek!

That’s it – 100% of the tip will go to your driver. You may also tip your driver during or after the trip if you wish. 

Cashless tips are limited to $50 per tip, with a minimum tip of $1 capped at two times per trip.

Paying for a trip with cash? You can tip your driver with cash, although cash tips would not be tracked in your Gojek app.

From 10 April 2023, the surcharge of each extra stop would be raised from $4 to $5 in order to keep fares fairer for drivers.

Your trip fare will be based on the total distance of the trip and additional stops are automatically included in your upfront fare before you book a ride – so no surprises at all.
