This insurance cover is provided subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the RIDESHIELD Group Personal Accident policy underwritten by AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte Ltd, located at 78 Shenton Way, #09-16 AIG Building, Singapore 079120 (the “Company”) to Velox Digital Singapore Pte Ltd located at 5 Temasek Boulevard #14-01 Suntec Tower Five, Singapore 038985 (the “Policyholder” or “Gojek”).
To be eligible for cover, the Insured Person (“You”) must:
When the eligibility conditions above are met, we will also cover the Insured Person’s accompanying passenger(s) (“Accompanying Passenger(s)”).
You are legally entitled to claim under the Policy but You are not a contracting party to the Policy nor are you the Policyholder.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The following are some key provisions found in the Policy. This is only a brief summary and You are strongly encouraged to refer to the full terms and conditions of the Policy which can be found here.
2. All endorsements and amendments to the Policy as agreed between the Company and the Policyholder shall be binding without prior notice to You.
3. This Policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for the Policy is automatic and no further action is required from You. For more information on the types of benefits that are covered under the scheme as well as the limits of coverage, where applicable, please contact AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. THE BENEFITS
Subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the Policy, the Company will pay the benefits as described below.
The cover under the Policy will start from the time You and/or Your Accompanying Passenger(sboard the vehicle operated by an Insured Driver (as defined in the Policy) until the time You and/or Your Accompanying Passenger(s) alight from the vehicle.
Claims Procedure
If You or Your legal representative and/or Your Accompanying Passenger(s) or their legal representative wishes to make a claim, please send an email to Claims.SGGojek@marsh.com, indicating that You were on trip with GoJek at the time of the accident. You will be provided with a claim form. Please fill in the claim form with complete and accurate information. If You do not do so, Your claim may be denied.
(i) The following documents must be submitted:
a. all reports that have been made with or obtained from the police or other authorities about the accident, loss or damage; and
b. any other documentary evidence required by Us under the Policy.
(ii) You must provide Us with Your submission and accompanying documents as soon as practicable, in any event within thirty (30) days of the incident taking place which gives rise to the claim.
(iii) You must give Us, at Your, the Accompanying Passenger(s) or your respective legal representative’s expense, all medical and other certificates and evidence required by Us that is reasonably required to assess the claim.
(iv) We may have You and/or the Accompanying Passenger(s) medically examined at Our expense when and as often as We may reasonably require after a claim has been made. We may also arrange an autopsy if We reasonably require one.
2. Processing and payment of claims
(a) We will take all reasonable steps to pay a valid claim promptly.
(b) Once the claim has been assessed to be valid and payable, We will pay the claims settlement amount under the Policy to You and/or the Accompanying Passenger(s) directly.
3. In the event that You and/or the Accompanying Passenger(s) make a claim after the Policy is no longer in-force, please note that the claim will not be affected as long as the event leading to the claim occurred during the time when the Policy was in-force.
